Lent

Lent always seems to sneak up on me. Maybe it’s because we always have our commitment campaign at the grove right before lent starts. Maybe it’s because my family and I almost always spend Mardi Gras away from Mobile on some sort of getaway. Commitment is a scary word, or at least it has become a scary word in our culture. We are over-scheduled, over-spent, overwhelmed people. Our lives have become chock-full with no room for commitment.
